Professional Woodworker's Vise

Very disappointed in the quality. The vise was not symmetrical. The jaws did not close evenly. The machining looks as if it was done with several different set-ups. The screw did not wiggle symmetrically about the centre. Screw holes in the faces were not uniform. The moveable face was offset sideways from the fixed face. When making contact the faces met first on the left while a gap of .05 showed on the right. After forcing contact was made, however uniform compression is doubtful. The tops of the two faces did not line up. I regret this purchase. A replacement unit required that I plug and redrill a hole in the moveable face wooden liner that I had made for the original. Where was this made? USA quality was absent. My rating would be zero stars. At least one was required to send this note.
