These heavy-duty splitting wedges are drop forged from alloy steel. The wedges are hardened and tempered for durability. The striking surface has a chamfered square striking surface for safety. The tips have been hand ground to provide the best cutting edge possible. The non-striking surfaces are painted with an enamel paint to eliminate rusting.
